Silva (Picanco), Eugenia P., of Peabody, passed away peacefully on July 24,2024 in her 99th year. 

Beloved wife of the late Manuel Viera da Silva.

Loving daughter of the late Manuel and Julia Picanco. 

Devoted mother of John Silva and fiancé Maria of Peabody, Eugenia Silva and husband Joao of Peabody and Maria Ortins and her late husband Helio of Danvers.

Dear sister of Jusfina Picanco, Angelina Silva, Maria Sao-Jose Bettencourt and the late Manuel Tomas and Antonio Dos Santos.

Cherished grandmother of Tony Silva and wife Elizabeth, Paul Silva and wife Chrissy, Diana Hennessey and husband Phil, Sandy Hounsome and husband Andy, John Silva, Bryan Silva and wife Megan, Jessica Bosse and husband Michael.

Adored great grandmother of many great grandchildren. 

Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She was a faithful and devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody.

Family and friends will honor Eugenia's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 10 Chestnut St. (across the street from Peabody city hall), on Friday, July 26th from 7:00 AM to 8:45 AM before leaving in procession to Our Lady of Fatima Church in Peabody for a 9:00 AM funeral mass. Services will conclude with Eugenia being buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Salem.
