Desiree Le’Shea Crowe, 27, of Seymour, passed away on July 16, 2024. She was born on December 1, 1996, in Knoxville, TN. Desiree was an adoring mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was an entrepreneur and owned and operated Desiree’s Cleaning Company. Desiree was hardworking and talented. She enjoyed singing and spending time with her family. Desiree lived her life with grace and loved unconditionally. Her passion for others came full circle with the ability to donate her organs to those in need. Desiree lives on in others and the memories we share.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Gillespie; step-father, Richard Huskey; special aunt, Debra Geames; grandmother, Betty Geames; grandfather, William Geames; grandfather, Burl Gillespie; great-grandmother, Nora Gillespie; great-grandfather, Plato Gillespie.
Desiree is survived by her son, Braxton Hill; mother, Crystal “Christie” Crowe; sister, Katlyn Crowe; brothers, Payton Geames (Shelby) and Mark Gillespie; sister-by-choice, Hannah Farmer; nieces and nephews, Zyler Geames, Zaylee Geames, Zander Geames, Jessie Rae James, Haidyn Farmer; special grandmother, Karen Homer; grandmother, Diane Askew; uncles, Wayne Ketner (Angela), William Geames (Bridget); aunts, Rebecca Shipley (James), Elizabeth Ketner, Norma Welch (Ron), Lisa Gillespie, Misty McCoy; guardian angel and cousin, Veronica Ratliff; her sweet canine companion, Dean; many loving cousins, extended family members, and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, July 26th at Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour with the Funeral Service to follow at 7 PM Friday at Atchley’s Seymour Chapel, 122 Peacock Ct., Seymour, TN 37865, with Rev. Jordan Amburn officiating. The Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, July 27th at Highland South Memorial Park, 9010 E Simpson Rd, Knoxville, TN 37920 with the procession to leave Atchley Funeral Home, Seymour at 10:30 AM Saturday.
