It's with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Daniel Edward Black of Selkirk, MB at the young age of 63 on July 20, 2024.
Dad is reunited with his parents Margaret and Donald Black, brothers Cail, Donald and Ross Black; sister Linda Hoffer; granddaughter Danielle Cote; niece Amanda Arce-Black, nephew Taevon Black-Fredette and daughter-in-law Kerry Black.
Dad leaves behind the love of his life Jackie Favel, his children Robin Favel, Julie Black, Terry Kovick, Daniel Black Jr (Courtnie Vallieres), Chris Black (Marley Missyabit), Jackeline Black (Shawn Sousa), Billy Black (Brittany Vivier) and Faye Black (Stephen Hupe); grandchildren Mitchel, Jonny, Clarissa, Robert, Billy, Jayla, Brady, Brendon, Realyn, Brayden & Drayden Harris, Aaron, Carson, Conner, Cail, Nicholas, Brayden, Aleah and Rylan, Jordan (Cierra), Justin, Jace, Jaxon, Eliannah, Jamison, Envy, Gregory, Gabriel, Emily, Grayson, Jane, and Addalynn; siblings Randy (Phillis), Ricky and Sandra (Blair); niece's Donna (Ryan), Chas (George), Lori (Thori) Tanya, Tessy and Miranda (Mike) and Kailee; nephews, Michael (Dayna), Kent (Angela), Trenton (Joanne), Ross Jr, Shane and Byron; numerous great nieces and nephews whom he adored. He also leaves great friends Harvey, Delores, Joe and Thelma, Nourish, Mervin, Jacob, Dave, Paul, Richard and Barker.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Black Jr, Jordan Fredette-Black, Justin Pirart-Black, Aaron Cochrane, Michael Roszmann, Shawn Sousa and Stephen Hupe and Ryan Fredette.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at noon in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, Manitoba with a viewing prior to the service.
