John Joseph Wyld, Sr., age 75, of Nesco, NJ, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Maryann (nee Roselli); children, John, Jr. (Sherry), Michele (Jamie), and Jeffrey (Meredith); grandchildren, Katie (Jimmy), Samantha (Mark), Brandon (Val), Hunter, Alivia, Jamie, and Matt; great-grandchildren, Mason and Rolan, brother, Goog (Joy); sister in-law, Connie; sisters, Dorothy, Mary, Joanne; in-laws, Diane, Marty (Chris), Michael (Eileen), Walt (Jane), Larry (MaryLou) and Paul (Jama) as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends. John is pre-deceased by his parents, Harold, and Helen (nee Quinn); mother and father in-law, Millie and Bill; sister, Helen, brother, Frank; brother in-laws, Bill, Jack, Butch, Larry, and Bob; son in-law, Rich; nephews, Frankie and Lou and best friend, Stanley.

John was born in Camden, NJ. He served in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970 where he was stationed in Okinawa. After the service he worked as an autobody technician for Ace Motors in Woodbury, NJ. In his free time, he deeply enjoyed hunting, trips to the casinos or Poconos, admiring antique cars, or relaxing on the couch watching Gunsmoke. John savored each meal shared with family and friends at the Silver Coin Diner; always being treated so special by the staff. Most of all, John was a devoted husband, father, grandpop, great-grandpop, uncle, and friend, he wasn’t a man of many words but those close to him know how deep his love for them ran. He was a fighter up until his last breath and will be missed dearly.

Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, July 25th, 2024 from 9:30 am to 12:00 pm at St. Joseph Church - St. Mary of Mount Carmel Parish, 3rd. & French St., Hammonton, NJ 08037. Funeral mass to follow at noon. Cremation will take place privately. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society or to the Tunnels to Towers Foundation are encouraged.
