Judy Diana (Miller) Tennes, 73, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.
Judy was born in Evansville, Indiana on June 27, 1951 to the late Malcolm and Darcus (Greene) Miller. She retired from Shoe Carnival as a processing clerk after many years of service. Judy currently was working part time in the cafeteria at North High School. She enjoyed camping at Lake Rudolph and scrapbooking. Judy was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church where she was the song leader. She loved taking care of her family and spending precious time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Michael Tennes of Evansville, IN; daughter, Michelle Hughes of Evansville, IN; son-in-law, James Hughes of Boonville, IN; sisters, Janelle Weber (Steve) of Chandler, IN and Joyce Carter of Haubstadt, IN; brother, William Greene of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Tyler Daniel Hughes, Joshua Michael Hughes, Jacob Aaron Hughes (Cheyenne) and Ethan James Hughes (Raven); great grandchildren, Jaxson, Aaron, Hayden and Daniel; sister-in-law, Theresa LaForrest (Brian); and by several brothers and sisters-in-law.
Judy was preceded in death by her sons, Albert Tennes, Michael Tennes and Clint Tennes; and by her parents.
A celebration of Judy's life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711.
Friends may visit from 11:00 am until service time on Thursday at Browning Funeral Home.
