Almira J. Hermance, 82, passed away July 15, 2024, at Glens Falls Hospital.
Born June 15, 1942, in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna McDonald.
On July 5, 1958, Almira married the love of her life, James L. Hermance. They were together married for 63 years before James passing on September 22, 2021.
Almira enjoyed shopping, old car shows, Elvis, camping, riding in old cars, scratch offs, meeting friends for coffee, getting together with her family singing karaoke, and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Almira was predeceased by her son, James Hermance Jr.; her sisters, Lillian and Anna; brother, Richard.
Left to cherish her memory include her children, Jamie (Joe) Brown, Jayne (Robert) Gilman; her grandchildren, Robert (Jamie) Dietze, Michelle (Brighton) Hoyt, Christopher (Holly) Dietze, Robert “Boops” (Bethany) Gilman, Kyle Gilman, James Hermance, Daniel Hermance; several great and great-great grandchildren; her siblings, Robert (Betsy) McDonald, Harry (Chucky) McDonald, David (JoAnn) McDonald, Sarah Hermance and Doris McDonald; her brother-in-law, Harley (Barbara) Hermance; her sisters-in-law, Donna Tucker, Julia Hermance, her daughter in law, Debbie Hermance and several nieces, nephew, and cousins.
Service and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
