Mary Barbara Grosser, 74, of Maysville passed away July 16, 2024, at UK Medical Center.


Mary was born on January 22, 1950 to the late Earl Van and the late Claire Kennedy Van.


She had a Bachelors degree in math from Thomas Moore University, and a Masters degree in education from Spalding University in Louisville, KY. Mary was a retired Mason County High School math teacher who also taught at St. Patrick School and was an assistant kindergarten teacher. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Mary was a member of the Fernleaf Homemakers and enjoyed walking with friends and getting together with other retired MCHS teachers.


Survivors include her loving husband Dr. Timothy Grosser; her son Andy (Brandi) Grosser; son-in-law Ryan Morgan; grandchildren Will Morgan, Addison Grosser, and Malorie Grosser; her brother Dan (June) Van; and her sister Jane (Ben) Ludwig.


Besides her parents, Mary is proceeded in death by her daughter Maggie Grosser Morgan and a brother Bob Van.


Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Grosser will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 22, 2024, at St. Patrick Church with Rev. Michael Black as Celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery.


Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2024, at Brell & Son Funeral Home.


In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders for Parkinsons research.
