Of Turtle Creek, age 79, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2024.
Steve was the beloved and devoted husband of Yvonne (Bohden) Jones for 52 years.
He was the father of Stephanie (Thomas) Kress of Baldwin and Matthew Jones.
Steve was the grandfather of Lauren and Lindsay Kress and the brother of Sharon Clark who resides in FL.
Steve earned his Masters in Physics from Carnegie Mellon University and had a long career as a biomedical engineer. He was an early employee of Respironics and later joined DeVilbiss in Somerset from where he retired. During his career, Steve shared in a few patents in the development of the bipap and cpap machines.
His most significant life role was as a dedicated, loving husband of Yvonne. For 5 years, Yvonne has resided at LGAR in Turtle Creek, and Steve has been a daily visitor and caretaker for those years.
Friends are welcome on Thursday from 9-10 a.m. at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., Turtle Creek / Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave., Turtle Creek, 412-823-9350 where a Blessing Service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m.
Steve will be laid to rest in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
