Marilyn M. Simmons (Nee Koput), Marilyn, born on August 25, 1948 in Milwaukee WI, found peace on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 69 after a long fight with cancer. Survived by daughter Colleen (Karl) Simmons, son Johnathan (Lauren) Simmons, and loving sisters Cindy (Vern) Los, Trina (Alan) Christiansen, Penny (Tim) Eberhardt, and Christy (Manfred) Kreuzpaintner. Preceded in death by parents Harold and Bernice Koput and brothers Peter and Doug Koput. Also loved and survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Marilyn enjoyed spending time with family, playing games, and watching movies. She enjoyed playing competitive chess and achieved the title of Women's International Master at a young age. She loved animals, especially her cat Apollo, and supported many charitable animal organizations. Private service for immediate family. Private burial at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be sent to the Wisconsin Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
