Diane Marie (Daigle) Dubois, beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024. She was 78 years old.
Born on March 31, 1946, to Joseph Daigle & Bertha Marie (Moraux) Daigle, lived a wonderful life filled with happiness, love, compassion, and incredible strength. She touched the lives of all who knew her with her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. She was a pillar during difficult times, offering support and comfort to those in need. Her ability to find light in darkness and her unwavering faith were a source of strength for all who knew her. Her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone she met, and her memory will forever be cherished by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Throughout her life, Diane dedicated herself to her family and friends. She was a devoted mother who nurtured and supported her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren, with unconditional love and boundless encouragement. Her wisdom and guidance shaped their lives and will continue to be a source of inspiration.
She is survived by her three children, Marie, John, and Katheryn. Her grandchildren Markus and Carolyn; her four great grandchildren Brayden, Mollee, Jayden, and Ariellee; and her brothers Richard and Arthur. She is preceded in death by her grandson, Jonathan.
Professionally, over the years, Diane excelled in nursing and graduated from St. Anne’s School of Nursing (Fall River, MA) in October 1967 then went on to receive her license in both Iowa and Texas. As her youngest child entered the Clark County School system so did she, working her way from office aide to Special Education for elementary students. Known to those in the school system as Ms. Diane, her commitment to excellence and her positive attitude earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues, peers, and students alike.
In her leisure time, Diane enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling to see family, and often found solace and joy in crafting heartfelt greeting cards and watching Lifetime Christmas movies. She especially enjoyed shopping for gifts year-round to squirrel away for the next birthday, Christmas, or Easter basket, always keeping an eye out for little things that reminded her of the people in her life and was also known for keeping tabs on her friends and bringing food to those who could not shop for themselves. She found peace in her faith, with her steadfast morning prayers and attendance to Catholic mass each Sunday, often lunching with her friends immediately following.
Though she is no longer with us, Diane will forever remain a beacon of love and inspiration. Her spirit will continue to guide us, and her memory will be a blessing to us all.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Catholic Diocese here in Las Vegas or in your local area (https://www.lvcatholic.org/donate). Her faith was very important to her, and she donated to the diocese on a regular basis.
