Reverend Arthur B. Whiteman Sr. 86, of Maysville, passed peacefully at St. Elizabeth hospital on July 13, 2024, due to multiple health issues.

He was born on October 8, 1937, in Middletown, Ohio to Morton Whiteman, Sr. and Tinnie (Conway) Whiteman-Powell.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years Violet (Fryman) Whiteman, 1 son Ronald (Debra) Whiteman of Maysville, two granddaughters, his "sugar lumpy" Kdee Whiteman, Britany (Kelly) Vice, and his great granddaughter "his little, little, girl" Bria Vice all from Flemingsburg. 3 sisters and 1 brother, Martha Ballard, Betty (John) Williams, both of Franklin Ohio, Joyce Powell, and Dallas Powell, both of Maysville. He also has several nieces, nephews and many extended family members.

His is proceeded in death by one son, Arthur, Morgan Whiteman Jr. His maternal grandparents, Willam and Dolly (Ballard) Conway, paternal grandparents, Arthur and Martha (Powers) Whiteman, 4 brothers, Tom Whiteman, Mort Jr. Whiteman, Omar Sr. Whiteman, Milton Powell, and 3 sisters, Dorothy Rowe, Edith Wilmath, and Patsy Fryman.

Arthur loved spreading the gospel, preaching and encouraging others to seek Jesus. He preached and sang at many churches throughout his life, but he enjoyed his ministry at the "Church of Faith in Jesus Christ" in Maysville the most. Arthur was a skilled craftsman, and could do any type of carpentry work, tree trimming and painting. He also worked at the Edith Henry shoe factory for 17 years. He loved his family and all his Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

Pallbearers are Ronald Whiteman, Kelly Vice, Kurt Whitley, Bud Holland, Ashton Workman, Jeff Purcell, Rodney Powell and Tom Orr.

Services for Rev. Arthur B Whiteman will be held at Brell and Sons Funeral Home, Thursday July 18 at 12 p.m. with Pastor Oscar Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Maysville Mason County Cemetery

Visitation services will be Wednesday, July 17 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
