Marianne K. Jones (Nee Weickert), Marianne passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, while under the care of Vitas Hospice. She was born on August 26, 1928 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph and Hildagard Weickert. She was a 1946 graduate of Mesmer High School. Marianne married (and is survived by) her husband Ralph C. Jones, in 1953, just having celebrated their 63rd wedding anniversary. She became a military wife and mother to 4 sons: Ralph Jr. (Paula), Mark, Mike (Vicki) and Matthew (Karen). Marianne was a talented artist, antique dealer, and a green-thumb gardener . She enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, golf, and playing Gin Rummy with her sons and grandchildren. Marianne is sister to Sue (the late Arni) Johnson, the late Mitzi (Riley) Dobberstein, and the late Jim (the late Dorothy) Weickert, and caring aunt to their children, her nieces and nephews. Loving grandmother to 10 grandchildren: grandsons Jason, Hayden, Tim, Eric and Chad and granddaughters Becca, Brittany, Stephanie, Pam and Mary Kate and great-grandchildren: Izabela, Keller, Raina, Savannah and Andrew. Marianne is also survived by her niece, who is like a daughter, Rali Burleson, lifelong friends Mary Strobl and Mary Krieps and goddaughter Lynn Strobl. There will be a Time of Gathering on Friday, May 26 from 1:00 PM, until time of Memorial Service at 2:00 PM at CHURCH AND CHAPEL, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, donations to the New Berlin Food Pantry, where Marianne volunteered for more 15 years, would be greatly appreciated.
