Although his first marriage to Deborah Adsit ended in divorce, they were blessed with three sons, Bela, Jr., Steven and Timothy. He married Rosemary Versace in 1987. They were together for 37 years and raised the boys and daughter, Francesca.
Bela and Rosie loved to travel with family. Many vacations were spent with extended family in national parks and at the beach. They ventured overseas to England, visited Hawaii and St. Thomas. Bela’s last few days were spent on vacation near Washington, D.C. with his family. He had a great time celebrating Steven’s 50th birthday and seeing D.C. with his grandchildren.
Bela loved watching sports, but his “happy place” was fishing. He loved going fishing with his grandchildren and sons.
Bela loved America. One of his proudest moments was becoming a U.S. citizen.
