Beverly Ann Workman, 72, Gardner, Kansas passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Colonial Village, Overland Park, Kansas. Visitation will be 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, Kansas (913) 856-7111. Private graveside service will be Thursday, July 18, 2024 at Oaklawn Cemetery, Olathe, Kansas. Memorial contributions may be made to Brighton Hospice. Beverly was born July 14, 1951 to Otis James Albert and Ella Mae (Manes) Thomas in Kansas City, Missouri. She attended grade school at Edgerton Elementary and then transferred to Gardner for the reminder of her education. Bev graduated from Gardner High School in 1969. After graduation, she worked at the grade school office during the summer. On September 10, 1969, Beverly began working at Farmers Insurance in the commercial policy service department and later the newly developed catastrophe center. Bev moved to Human Resources where she finished her career after 45 years of employment. She married James Phillip Workman  on March 6, 1976 in Overland Park, Kansas. They lived in Olathe, Spring Hill, Wellsville and Gardner. She enjoyed creating gnomes, crafting cards, cross stitch and crocheting blankets for  family and friends. Bev enjoyed going to the movies numerous times a week and playing Mahjong and Mexican Train dominos. Her favorite time was spent being with her family and friends.

Bev  was preceded in death by her parents; husband Jim; brother Darrel Thomas and sister-in-law Juanita Thomas.  She is survived by her brother Vernon Thomas; sister-in-law Connie Thomas; brother James Thomas; sister-in-law Hope Thomas; niece Laura Baily; nephews Steven Thomas, Alec Thomas and Zac Thomas and many true and loyal friends and neighbors.
