Katharina Schanau (nee Gerber) "Kathy" Katharina was welcomed into the Arms of the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the age of 74 years. Adored mother of Ralph (Wendy) Schanau and Eric Schanau. Proud grandmother of Zachary Schanau, Courtney Schanau, Eli Schanau and Alexa Schanau, Nathan Dodge and Zachary Dodge. Loving sister of Anna (the late Frank) Schwerer. Dear aunt of Robert (Christele) Schwerer and Marina (Jason) Schandor. Dear niece of the late Eleanor "Laura" Moser and her late husband, the late Rosa (the late Wendell) Strauss, the late Margaret (the late John) Slamann, the late Adam (Elizabeth) Borosch and dear cousin of John (Cindi) Borosch. Preceded in death by her parents, Anton and Katharina Gerber. Also remembered by other relatives and friends. Kathy was a generous mother and devoted countless hours caring for her own mother (Omi). Raising her own children she enjoyed the outdoors, traveling, camping, cooking and supporting the interests of her family. She loved having grandchildren and adored each one of them. Kathy had an amazing love for God, an incredibly giving spirit and continually put others before herself. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 7 at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK MAIN BUILDING CHAPEL OF THE FLOWERS, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield from 10 AM until the Funeral Service at 11:30 AM.
