Louise Vetter of East Alton IL formerly from Carrollton IL went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 9 2024. Louise was born and raised in Kampsville IL. She went to school in Kampsville and later worked at Hartman’s Grocery Store and Sadie’s Family Restaurant. On Oct 14 1946 she married Floyd Vetter in Carrollton IL by Pastor Arthur Kaul. They moved north of Eldred to a farm. After farming Floyd and Louise moved to Carrollton IL. Louise worked the night shift as an LPN at Boyd Memorial Hospital for 19 years. Floyd worked at Olin Corp until he retired.

They were married almost 54 years before Floyd passed away August 19 2000. They were blessed with 3 sons Larry Richard and Danny.

She is survived by sons Larry (Renee) of Alvord TX, Richard (Barbara) of Somerset KY, and Danny (Nancy) of East Alton IL. (5) grandchildren Troy (Jessica) Vetter, Tami Siwiecki, Joaquin (Felice) Roach, Vickie Ealy, and Sidney Vetter. (18) great-grandchildren Lily Beth, Gracie, Payton, Benjamin (Michaela), Rachel (Jackson), 1st Lt Phoebe, Dinah, Samuel, Abigail, Jubilee, Jedidiah, Sara, Joseph, Jonathan, Elyjiah, Xavier, Aiyana and A.J. Her sister, Mary Ann Hobbs, and grandson Hunter Hobbs and her niece Suzanne and her 2 children.

Preceded her in death, husband Floyd, brother Sonny Lehr, grandson Michael Vetter, brother in law, George Hobbs, and nephew Randy Hobbs.

Funeral services will begin 12:00 noon on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Carrollton. Visitation will begin at 10:30am at the church preceeding a noon funeral. Graveside service at Carrollton City Cemetery immediately after funeral. Please join us for a Love Meal in the fellowship hall at the Lutheran Church following the graveside service. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of the services. In lieu of flowers Louise requested donations be made to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Boyd Memorial Hospital.
