GREEN CREEK -- Fonda Nadine (Lanford) Allen, 77, of Green Creek, NC passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024.

Born in Polk County, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Barnette Lanford and Sybil Westbrook Bitting. She retired from Chesnee Telephone Company after many years of service. She was a lifelong resident of Polk County and a member of Melvin Hill Church.

She is survived by a son Jason C. Allen (Leslie) of Mooresville, NC; a daughter, Kimberly A. Newman (James) of Boiling Springs, SC; a stepdaughter, Alanza A. Ferguson (Bob) of Mint Hill, NC; two brothers, D.H Mickey Lanford (Brenda), Reggie D. Lanford (Nancy); and a sister-in law Norma Jean Fagan, all of Green Creek, NC. Also surviving are eight grandchildren Mackenzie Newman, Amanda Ferguson, Abigail Newman, Madison Newman, Katelyn Newman, Riley Allen, Karlee Newman, and Ryder Allen and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Fagan.

A memorial service will be held at 11am, July 27th, 2024, at Melvin Hill Church with Rev. Craig Scruggs officiating.
