Leon Timothy Bennett was born on September 16, 1961, to Willie and Christine

Bennett in Fort Wayne, IN.  He departed this life on July 4, 2024, at 3:50 pm while in Hospice care at Parkview Randallia Hospital.

At an early age, Leon was baptized and became a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend James W. Bledsoe.  Later in life he would attend various churches throughout the city.

Leon was a graduate of North Side High School.  He had been previously employed by Momper Insulation and various other jobs through Labor Works.  Leon enjoyed riding his bike everywhere!  He was quiet and kept to himself but was never afraid to have a conversation with a stranger.
