Roger was born August 17, 1944, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Rois and Louise (Teer) Irby. He graduated from Berrien Springs High School in 1963. In 1973, Roger married the love of his life, Jeannine Peterson in Benton Harbor, and they enjoyed over 50 years together. Mr. Irby is a proud U.S. Army Veteran. He was a computer-aided designer for most of his career, starting with Clark Equipment for 17 years, Navistar, Kirby Vacuum and finishing at General Motors. Roger also worked for Carquest Auto Parts in Flint and Birch Run for over 6 years. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed shooting his guns and hunting. Roger also enjoyed camping, fishing, riding his motorcycle and attending bike rallies. He played his guitar often and had a deep appreciation for music - particularly Southern classics like Stevie Ray Vaughan and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Roger had a funny personality and always told the best stories. Above all, he was a wonderful man, super husband, and great father. He loved his family beyond measure and absolutely adored all his grandchildren.
