Edward Michael "Ed" “Mike” McGeorge, 70, passed away on July 6, 2024, peacefully at home in Mondovi, WI with his family by his side.


Born on March 8, 1954, in Knoxville, TN, his parents moved their family to Ypsilanti, MI in 1968 and later Ed and his children moved to the Eau Claire, WI area where Ed dedicated 30 years of his life as a transit mechanic at the City of Eau Claire.


Ed was a US Army veteran and a passionate builder and a family-described “jack of all trades,” always eager to take on a new project or a challenge.


He was known for his sharp wit, outgoing personality, and storytelling. He cherished engaging in lively debates and spending quality time with his family, whom he loved deeply. He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and great memories.


He is survived by his wife, Theresa McGeorge of Mondovi, WI; siblings, Bruce (Cindy) McGeorge of Tennessee, Larry (Patricia) McGeorge of Michigan, and Deborah Moore of Michigan. Children, Jeff (Jenny) McGeorge of Osseo WI, Mike (Shonna) McGeorge of Menomonie, WI, Chris (Corey) Selin of Eau Claire, WI, Josh Imm of Mondovi, WI, and Hunter (Ashley) Imm of Neillsville, WI. Ed is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Ali, Brittany, Sierra (Skylor), Ryan, Libby, Izzy, Lucas, and Bentley, and great granddaughter, Ella. He is also survived by a special niece, Nicole of Michigan and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elihue and Julia McGeorge, and his brother and sister-inLaw, Jerry and Susan McGeorge.


Ed's life will be celebrated by his family, friends, and all who knew him as a remarkable individual whose memory will be cherished forever. Details of the memorial services are to be determined.
