Jennifer Maynard Sell Obituary

Jennifer Dawn Maynard Sell was born on December 12, 1965 in St. Louis, MO. After a very courageous encounter with cancer, her spirit took flight on July 7 in Oak Harbor, WA.

Jennifer came into this life tongue-tied with words and passions unconsciously locked within her tiny body. For the first 7 years of her life, very few outside of the family heard her speak. Even in the quiet of those years, her family knew she was no shrinking violet! Jen, for that is what she had asked to be called in her last weeks, had a strong spirit, she was passionate, and powerful. She came to understand that she come into this life hoping it would be the one in which she could heal and move herself and those she loved into a world of adventure, joy, and freedom.

In addition to her daughter, Sara, son-in-law, Josh, and beloved grandson, Henry, Jennifer loved Ori, her Vizsla, and the family of cats, dogs and one bird who left life before she did. She felt a special connection to her spiritual white horse and the wild horses roaming the plains. She touched many hearts and was a model of one who helped others learn of their ability to heal, stretch, and be held in various extended communities. Sara, Josh, and Henry will be forever changed by her love. Her mother, Sharon Riegie Maynard sits in honor of her commitment to life. Siblings and their spouses, Sophia Elizabeth Maynard Archambault , Matt Archambault, Teresa R. Bain, Noel Bain, Michelle M. Maynard, Aondrea H. Maynard, Diana D. Maynard, Donald G. Maynard, Bjorn L. Maynard, and wonderful nieces and nephews Alex, Alyssa, Asher and Lief, were with her in loving and respectful ways as she left this world experience for another.

She will have been greeted by her father Donald, her sister Carolyn and her husband Keith who passed before her.

There have been so many people who have supported Jen through her life, many her family may not even know about. Thank you to everyone who loved her, supported her, made her laugh and cried with her.

We love her and miss her ….
