BERYL JANE NYE Obituary

NYE, BERYL JANE (CARNEY) 98, of the village of Greene in Coventry, passed away peacefully at Kent County Hospital on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.  She was  predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Norman Capwell Nye Sr. in 2006. Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Mary E. (Henry) Carney.
  
Beryl graduated from the former Lockwood High School in Warwick. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree from the Pembroke College in Brown University, and later a Master’s Degree from Boston University. Beryl was a special education school teacher in Coventry for over 30 years before retiring.

Beryl had passionately trained standard poodles since the 1960's. She was a member of the Rocky Hill Grange for many years.   

She leaves behind a daughter Stephanie M. Nye, a son Norman C. Nye Jr. and his wife Lori; grandchildren Amanda Nye, Nathan Nye and Nicole Hennessey; and two great grandchildren Miguel and Ysabelle.

Services will be private. Memorial donations to the Rocky Hill Grange, 19 Longfellow Drive, North Kingstown, RI 02852 would be appreciated. Arrangements are with the Iannotti Funeral Home at MAPLE ROOT  in Coventry. iannottifh.com
