1959-2024


Brian Angus Lazore of 1138 River Road, Snye, Qc, unexpectedly passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at the Ottawa Heart Institute surrounded by his loving family.


Brian was born May 4th, 1959 in Cornwall, ON. He is predeceased by his parents Angus and Josephine Lazore (née Peters), his brother Terrance Peters and by his son Cory Edwards.

He was a member of the Akwesasne Death Benefits, Akwesasne Homemakers and the Nighthawks Card Sharks.

He is survived by his son Harlen Edwards of Cornwall, grand-daughters Angel Edwards-Square (Skye), and Paisley, grandsons Noah (Sierra), Corbin, Terrance, Thoren and Mason Edwards-Square, his great-grandchildren Heavyn, Ocean, Kysen and Sage. His siblings Teddy Peters, Kasewaien Peters, Tate Lazore (Robin), Paula Jacobs (Gorman), Mae Green (Wayne), Bobbie Lazore and Bob Lazore all of Akwesasne. He will be greatly missed by his chosen sister Emmy Mitchell, aunts, nieces, nephews, many cousins and many friends.


Brian started ironwork at the age of 16. He was a member of the Local Union 711 out of Montreal. He recently acquired his lifetime Union Membership. This took him on travels to New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Illinois, Ottawa, Toronto and many more places.


He was a jack of all trades and enjoyed helping anyone who needed it.

Brian’s family will welcome family and friends at the Akwesasne Homemaker Center, 1126 River Road, Akwesasne, QC from 1 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2024. Mass of Christian burial will take place on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 at 11 a.m. in St. Regis Mission Catholic Church. Followed by cremation. In lieu of flowers donations to Akwesasne Homemakers, Snye Recreation or Iakhihsotha would be appreciated. On-line condolences may be left at www.wilsonfuneralhome.ca
