Denise M Fisher Obituary

Denise Marie Fisher, a native of New Orleans, Louisiana, was born on August 14, 1957. She entered into the presence of her Lord Savior Jesus Christ on July 8, 2024, at the age of 66, while surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of the late Percy Knighton and Anna Mae Ellis and preceded into death by her son, Jeffery Ellis, brother Jeffery Ellis and Frank Ellis and her sister Lillie Mae Scott. Denise is survived by her estranged husband Carlton Fisher, sisters Inez Lazard and Alfreda Williams (Alphonse), and her brothers Grayland Ellis (Paulette) and Percy Ellis (Andrea), Aunt Geraldine Sears, and Uncle Sidney Jones. She is also survived by one grandchild Deshawn Weaver and two great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends all of whom she cherished, celebrated, and loved deeply. Her smile and laughter lit up a room. Always the first one to offer a hand to someone in need.

Denise accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She graduated from Alcee Fortier in 1976. She united into holy matrimony to Carlton Fisher. To this union was born one handsome son Jeffrey Ellis. Denise had a strong passion for taking care of children and helping others.

Throughout her years, Denise became a model of love and faith to her loving family and friends. She leaves a lasting impression in the lives of everyone she’s touched throughout her lifetime.
