Greg Garrett Obituary

Greg Garrett

February 10, 1960 – July 9, 2024

Gregory Alan Garrett, 64, husband of Tara Chasteen Garrett, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family.

Born on February 10, 1960, he was a son of the late Ernest Roy Garrett and the late Mary Etta McFalls Garrett.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ernestine.

Greg’s first love was his family but motorcycle riding and shooting pool held a close second. Friends made during his days of riding and pool shooting became like family. He loved working on small engines as well and could repair just about anything.

Along with his wife of nearly 40 years, he is survived by his daughter, Jessica Garrett (Josh Towery) and his grandchildren, Morgan & Rylan Towery.

He is also survived by his brothers, Roy & Stephen Garrett, and his sister, Sheila Arflin.

A visitation will be held from 1:30 pm until 4:30 pm, Friday, July 12, 2024, at The Standard Cremation & Funeral Center, 1621 Pearman Dairy Road, Anderson, SC, 29625.
