Linda G. Easterling Obituary

Linda Grace Easterling, of Willingboro, NJ, passed away at home surrounded by family on the morning of July 9, 2024.

Linda was born on November 29, 1947, to the late Charles and Luretta Chambers in Panama City, Panama. Upon completion of her early education in the Panamanian School System, Linda moved to Lubbock, Texas, as an exchange student pursuing higher education in the United States. In the early 1970s, after graduating with a degree in Business Administration, Linda relocated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 1992, Linda married her devoted husband, Willie Easterling Jr. Linda and Willie remained in the Philadelphia Tri-State area until her passing, calling the town of Willingboro, New Jersey “home.”

Proven to be skilled in the field of business, Linda was the go-to person for her family when assistance was needed with proofreading and preparing documents. Her keen eye for detail and ability to problem solve also made her the one to call when it came to troubleshooting computer problems. Linda also used her talents and skills to honor the Lord. Uniting with Delaware Valley Baptist Church in Willingboro, NJ on February 23, 2009, she served as Secretary of the Executive Board, Pantry Attendant, and Usher. In 2013, Linda retired from her career as Executive to the Associate Dean of Community Outreach, with Drexel University School of Nursing and Health Professions.

Most will fondly remember Linda’s beautiful smile, loving and supportive spirit, and academic strengths. As Linda was a natural talent in the kitchen, family and friends will also remember and miss her meals so delicious “they taste like she put her foot in them!”

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Luretta Chambers; brother Carlos Chambers; and sister Gloria Chambers. She is survived by her husband, Willie Easterling Jr.; brother Pastor Luther Chambers Sr.; sister Vilma Chambers; daughters Rosemary Robinson (Clyde), and Melody Lashley; bonus children Rick Easterling (Barbara), Ladean Easterling, Aliza Easterling-Hamilton, and Gabriel Easterling; grandchildren Jazzmen Maxwell, Kristopher Robinson, Serena Robinson, Sierra Robinson, and Sophia Robinson; great grandchildren Joleigh Cream-Marshall, and Joelle Cream-Marshall. A host of nieces and nephews, bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren, cousins, in-laws, godchildren, spiritual family, and close friends are also left to cherish her memory.
