Pamela Ann Sills Obituary


Pamela Ann Sills of Gerber Road, South Windsor, CT, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 7, 2024, with her family by her side at Complete Care at Fox Hill Nursing Home, Vernon, CT. She was born on July 30, 1952, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Robert and Jeanne Sills, who predeceased her. She was a sister to three brothers – Michael (Bedford, NH), Denis (Alpharetta, Ga.), and James (Manchester, CT).


She lived in South Windsor most of her life and attended Pleasant Valley Grammar School and South Windsor High School. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and paralegal specializing in elder care, particularly for her immediate family. She also worked for over 20 years as a Sales Associate for J.C. Penney’s in Manchester, before retiring in 2020.


Pamela was a Communicant of St. Junipero Serra Parish in South Windsor and occasionally attended mass and Lithuanian cultural events at Holy Trinity Church (Hartford, CT) with her family. She was an avid fan of pro tennis and UCONN sports teams. She also liked traveling and spending time with her best friends, Barbara and Robert Roy (Columbia, CT), and other family members. She was the beloved aunt to her 7 nieces and nephews and 12 grand nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her loving 12 cousins, who were also an important part of her life. Pamela leaves these wonderful family bonds with the memories of their times together.


All are welcome to join her family for calling hours at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road in South Windsor, CT 06074 on Monday, July 15, 2024, from 5-7 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road in South Windsor, CT 06074 on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at 10 am. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT 06002. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Complete Care at Fox Hill, 1253 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon, CT 06066.
