Judith Ellen "Judy" Dailey Obituary

Judith Ellen "Judy" Dailey (nee Voyt), age 81, of Crown Point, formerly of Gary, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2024.


Judith is survived by her six children: Tim (late Barbara) Dailey, Amy (Mike) Erris, Dan (Rebecca) Dailey, James (Lisa) Dailey, Beth (Jeff) Schwartz, Patrick (Angelina) Dailey; nine grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ron Kelley; and her many nieces, nephews and good friends.


Judith was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Mary Voyt; two sisters: Delores Voyt and Diane Kelley; and late husband, George Wayne Dailey.


Judy was born and raised in the Tolleston section of Gary and was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School, Class of 1961. She began working at US Steel shortly after graduating and then took a long break to raise her children. She then returned to US Steel and retired after over 20 years of service. She was very passionate about her family and was always there to lend a hand and spoil her grandchildren.


Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 16, 2024 at Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre, 606 E. 113th Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307 from 3:00 PM until the time of the Memorial Service at 6:00 PM.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Judith's name to St. Jude Children's Research whom she strongly supported.
