ALBRECHT, Larry William “Lawrence”

Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at his residence, The Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock. Larry was born 83 years ago in Wellesley Township, a son of the late Lorne and Emma (Schultz) Albrecht.

Larry will be deeply missed by sister Lorna Blair, brother Sherman Albrecht, sisters-in-law Sandra Albrecht and Nancy Ellen Nafziger. He was the proud uncle of Pamela (David), Angela (Bruce), Andrea, Lisa (Nick), Cory (Jen), Janelle (Scott), Hilary, Doug (Alison) and his many great-nieces, nephews and extended family.

Predeceased by his brother Orie Albrecht and brother-in-law Jim Blair.

Larry was a member of the Stratford Church of Christ. He had a passion for volunteering in his local communities and lending a hand when needed. Larrys love for volunteering went hand in hand with his passion for cars, driving locals where they needed to be, and being a volunteer driver for different local community groups. He also enjoyed the open roads himself and had fond memories of his convertibles. He was a man of few words but enjoyed many social gatherings with family and friends. Larry was acknowledged in 2013 for his 10-year service award for volunteering with Perth District Health Unit.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 7 Spencer Street, Milverton, on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. All are welcome to join the family at Rushes Cemetery, Wellesley for a time of committal on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. with a Celebration of life service to follow at Poole Mennonite Church, 6475 Perth Road 121, at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Greg Toohey to officiate. A time of fellowship will follow.

As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Stratford Church of Christ, or Mennonite Central Committee and can be done through the funeral home.
