Roger Dean Gould, age 83, of Geneva, passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at Delnor Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born September 17, 1940, in Aurora, the son of Norris and Francis (Keasler) Gould.

Roger graduated from the first class of Kaneland High School in 1959 where he still holds the first track trophy awarded at Kaneland for the decathlon.  Roger was employed and retired from Caterpillar after an almost 50-year career. He loved all sports, playing cards, spending time with his family. He was a die-hard Cubs fan. He loved going to Kaneland High School, Rochelle High School, Kishwaukee Community College, and Judson University to watch his grandchildren’s games.

He is survived by his wife Sandra (Adams); children Jeffery (Sandy) Gould of Steward, Jennifer Siebert of Elburn, Michele Craft of Geneva, and Melissa Riggs of Nebraska; grandchildren Abby, Caleb, and Seth Gould, Alex, Ryan, and Kristen Siebert, Ashlee (Mark) Tyberg, Zachary (Patti) Craft, Chelsie Ploppert, Matthew (Renee) Riggs, Michael (Vemexi) Riggs, and Jeremy Craft; great grandchildren Ella and Christopher Tyberg and Caleigh Craft, Deliah, and Cheyenne Riggs, Makanzie and Bryant LaMore; siblings Tim (Robin) Gould of St. Charles, Steve (Faith) Gould of Tennessee, Tom (Sharon) Gould of Geneva, and Cindy (Kerry) Kane of Big Rock, and sisters-in-law Arlene Gould of Plano and Rita Gould of North Aurora, daughter in law Dawn Janis of Michigan and many nieces and nephews.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason Gould, and siblings Norris Gould and Larry Gould.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 19, 2024, from 4:00 pm until the time of his funeral service at 5:30 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State Street (Route 38), Geneva.
