Francis Carlton Boyce Obituary

Francis Carlton Boyce, born on May 28, 1942, in Perquimans, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2024, at the age of 82, at Elizabeth City Health and Rehabilitation Center.


Carlton dedicated many years of his life working as office manager at a local car dealership. He was a longtime member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church, where he sang in the choir and taught Sunday School.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Maryland Cree Boyce and Sudie Hurdle Boyce, and his brothers, Maryland C. Boyce, Jr. (Christine), Eugene Boyce (Annie Rae) and (Anna), and Jesse Boyce (Faye).


Carlton is survived by his sister, Inez B. Roberts (Ben) of Hertford, NC, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who will remember him fondly and cherish his memory.


A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024, at Oak Grove United Methodist Church, with the Reverend Dr. Laura Early officiating.


In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations be made to Oak Grove United Methodist Church, 775 Chapanoke Road, Hertford, NC 27944.
