Marie Veccia “Dolly” (nee Fuino), 89, of Hasbrouck Heights for over 20 years and formerly of Wood-Ridge, passed away on July 6, 2024. Prior to becoming a homemaker to raise her family, she was a seamstress for a company in Rutherford. Dolly enjoyed playing Bingo, card games, board games, taking trips to the casinos in Atlantic City and shopping for clothes and shoes. She was a former parishioner of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church in East Rutherford. Beloved wife of the late Salvatore Veccia, Jr. Loving mother of Elisa Friedman and her husband Scott and the late Salvatore Veccia III. Dear mother-in-law of Angelina Veccia. Cherished grandmother of five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Caring sister of the late Francis “Frank” Fuino, Rose Prestia, Carmella Iommazzo and Antoinette Antoniotti. Adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Visitation at the Kimak Funeral Home, 425 Broad Street, Carlstadt on Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM with a Funeral Service at 10:45 AM. Entombment Garden of Memories, Washington Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
