Thomas M. Howard Obituary

Thomas M. Howard, affectionately known by his family and friends as Mike or Mick, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones after a brief battle with cancer.

Mike was born on June 4, 1962, in Cincinnati, OH to Merrell and Patricia Howard. He grew up in Norwood, OH alongside his 3 brothers and 1 sister.

Mike moved to Fredericksburg, VA in the 80's and it was there he met his wife, Lisa, of 40 years. Mike and Lisa welcomed 3 children together while residing in Fredericksburg, moving to Ravenswood, WV shortly after the birth of their youngest child. Mike loved West Virginia and the easygoing small-town life that came with the area.

In his spare time, he found happiness and pleasure in hunting, fishing, spending time with his wife, local shops, playing dice, or just taking a ride on backroads to admire the scenery.

He always looked forward to his early morning ride to the river to enjoy a hot cup of coffee with his dad, who he constantly referred to as his best friend.

Mike is preceded in death by his loving mother, Patricia R. Howard; son, Michael W.

Howard; grandson, Michael Howard; and brother Kenneth Howard.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Lisa R. Howard; father, Merrell Howard, both of Ravenswood; daughter, Tara Matthews (Tyrone) of Fredericksburg, VA; son, Thomas

"Ryan Howard of Ravenswood; 7 grandchildren, Jermain, Jaidyn, Jennifer, Justin, Zoei, Kaiden and Ty' King; sister, Kathy Hughes (Shoe) of AZ; brothers, Matt Howard (Kathy) of OH, Mark Howard (Bessie) of OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

To honor Mike's wishes, no service will be held. The family invites you to privately celebrate Mike's memory in your own way.
