Steven Cole Obituary

Steven John Algar Cole, 83, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2024. Steven was the eldest of 3 boys born in Sheerness, Kent, England. Steven was a Royal Marine for 18 years. During those years, he did everything from traveling the world to playing the saxophone in the Royal Marine band. He even played for the Queen onboard the royal yacht! After moving to the United States, Steven enjoyed a career in the Princeton Plasma Physics Lab. Steven was a lifelong musician with a love for all instruments, especially the saxophone, clarinet and keyboard. He continued to play the keyboard until his final days.


Steven is survived by his children: Martin (Lisa), Carol (Joe), Sarah and Steven; and 7 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Victor and Elsie May; his 2 brothers, Ted and Ernie.


A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 pm with a service at 2:30 pm at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Rt. 9, Forked River, NJ.
