Margaret Kaye Bosetti Obituary

The family of Kaye Bosetti (nee Smith) sadly announces the passing of their mother and grandmother on July 6th, 2024. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the age of 88 years.

Married for 62 years to her beloved late husband Bob Bosetti; they are reunited once again.

Kaye leaves behind her children Todd (Sandra) and Lesley-Ann. She was a proud Nana to her 4 grandchildren; Katana (Fadwa), Kelsey (Jordan) Perri, Olivia (Jonathon) and Nolan, each of whom she had endearing nicknames for. Born to Russell and Olive Smith, she was the youngest of three siblings. Kaye is survived by and will be dearly missed by her brother Jack (the late Doreen) Smith, as well as numerous other family members and friends.

Kaye relished time spent with her children and grandchildren, where her quick-witted banter shone through. She could be found hosting family gatherings and puttering around her gardens in the summers, and her loyalty to the Toronto Maple Leaf’s sustained her throughout the winters. Her decades of allegiance gave her a level of knowledge unmatched by most.

She was happiest when her home was filled with her family, and of course, the company of a gray cat, only ever named Smokey or Shadow. Her family will miss the classic Nana meals shared in her family home, where she warmly offered a cup of tea to accompany her cherished pizzelles, and her extension of comfort to others with her pasta e fagioli.

The family wishes to extend heartfelt thanks for the compassionate care provided to Kaye, by Dr. Alisa Lagroterria, and the team at the Welland Hospital.

In keeping with Kaye’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements entrusted to the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne. If so desired, to honour her long-time expression of love and care for animals, donations in memory of Kaye may be made to the Niagara SPCA and Humane Society. Online photos, memories and condolences may be shared at www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca
