Delores Truxson Obituary

Delores Truxson was a feisty 79 year old woman from East Greenbush, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July, 6, 2024, at home.

Delores was born in Hudson Falls, NY.

Delores was a part of Living Resources family for many years, she moved to Schodack from Mill Road in 2019. When you met Delores you would smile and laugh, she loved music and loved to dance. Delores loved being in the community doing things like shopping, attending program five days a week and going on van rides with her staff. You would never find Delores going anywhere without her handbag. Delores most favorite time of all was spending time at home in her room or living room wearing her favorite bathrobe while taking care of her babies and combing their hair, her hair and staff’s hair. Delores always anticipated going out with her advocate Tammy Bell. Tammy Bell was not just her advocate, she was her family. We are all going to miss Delores AKA Grandma or DeeDee, she will always be in our hearts!

Her calling hours will be Friday, July 12, from 10-12pm at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, Inc. A funeral service will follow at 12pm in the funeral home. Burial will be at the East Greenbush Cemetery.
