Annabelle M. Mader Newsome, 91, of Garden City, Kansas, died Saturday, July 6, 2024, at High Plains Retirement Village in Lakin, Kansas. She was born September 10, 1932, in Bristol, Colorado, the daughter of John & Katie (Knoll) Mader.

Newsome of Garden City, Kansas, Patricia L. Newsome of Amarillo, Texas, Mark A. Newsome of Lindsborg, Kansas, & Matthew D. Newsome of Garden City, Kansas.

She managed the sales barn café “Horn & Hoof” where her patrons got homecooked meals, incredible cinnamon rolls, and the best cream pies in the state. She loved country music and could really scoot and boot on the dance floor. Her hobbies include embroidery, crocheting, and painting ceramics. She also loved playing Bingo and would win on most occasions.
