Lee E. Hendricks Obituary

Lee E. Hendricks was born in Union, New Jersey on April 2, 1936. She was called home to God on July 6, 2024. A loving mother and homemaker, Lee met the love of her life during High School and married shortly after her graduation. As a new Navy wife, they moved to Chincoteague Virginia where she loved to watch the wild ponies walk down the street. Lee loved the Navy life as it took her and her family to many beautiful destinations. She was a dedicated Washington Redskins fan.

Lee was predeceased by her loving husband of 34 years, Judson J. Hendricks. She was, also, predeceased by her parents Charles and Elenora Koehler, her brother, Charles Koehler, and her sister, Gayle Giordano. Lee is survived by her son, Mark Hendricks (Cheryl), son, Sean Hendricks (Andrea), daughter Kathleen Shackley (Mark). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Myles Hendricks (Ashlea-Rae), Angela Carley (Christopher), Krista Hendricks, Ryan Hendricks, Evan Shackley, Judson Hendricks, and Maria Herrell (Christopher). She also had four great-grandchildren, Zoey Carley, Aria Carley, Grayson Hendricks, and Sloane Hendricks.

The family thanks the staff and care team at Chesapeake Place for taking such great care of Mom during her time there.

A viewing will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024 from 5:00 to 6:00 pm with a funeral service celebrating her life at 6:00 pm at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, 524 Cedar Road Chesapeake, VA. A reception will be held following the service.

Lee will live eternally in all of us and will be missed dearly. To live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die.
