Jennifer Tate Smith age 52 of Lenoir City passed away suddenly Saturday, July 6, 2024 at her home. She was a member of Paw Paw Plains Baptist Church. Jennifer worked for several years as a x-ray and ultrasound technician. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and being outdoors.


Preceded in death by her father, James Tate; grandparents, Charlie and Hattie Henline Babb, Bill and Lena Tate.


Survived by her daughter, Brittany Gowdy (Tim); son, Cory Frye (Ashlee); grandchildren: Sophie Frye, Remmy Scott, Archie Holt, Abigail Lewis, Bentley Lewis, and Levi Holt; mother, Pat Babb Lance (Michael); sister, Michelle Tate Hall (Jamey); nephews: Michael, Justin and Jordan Hall.


The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 11th at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Rev. Tony Bandy officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home by 10 a.m. on Friday and proceed to Woodlawn Cemetery for graveside services at 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
