Raymond Resino Obituary

Raymond “Ray” Resino of Franklinville, passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at the age of 69. Loving husband of 51 years to Theresa (née Walsh). Devoted father to Raymond Resino, Robert Resino (Shannon née Raively), Stephanie Bachovin (Andrew), and Jennifer Gordon (Christopher). Proud Pop-Pop to Michele G, Robert J, Sydney C, Maxwell L, Elizabeth M, Andrew Raymond, and Charlotte M and to Great grandchild Hudson R. He is survived also by siblings Peter Resino, Paul Resino (Laura), and Angelia Middlemore, honorary family Kimberly Funnell, and countless nieces, nephews, and greats. He is predeceased by his parents Vincent and Frances Resino née Schiavo and siblings Frank Resino, Joseph Resino, Mary Murray, and Carol Resino.

Ray was born in Camden in 1955 and a part of the 1st generation of his family born in the United States. It was here that he met the love of his life, Theresa, in 1971. After graduating from Camden County VoTech in 1974, they moved to Franklinville to raise their family. He worked as a Chief Engineer and was most proud of not only keeping 399 Market Street running for 33 years, but ensuring the people there were cared for.

Apart from his career, Ray liked docking ships and making jokes on the Delaware River. It brought him great pride to have been a member of the crews to change the ropes on the Battleship New Jersey and the SS United States. He was an excellent pool player and was a loyal member of the South Jersey APA. No matter the circle, Ray easily found a friend with his warmth and lighthearted nature. He had a love for classic cars and Motown music. He was a loyal friend that was ready to lend a hand. Ray’s devotion to his family was present in all he did. He took great pride in his grandchildren and they brought him abundant joy. He leaves behind a legacy of humor, generosity, and unwavering support that will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, July 11th from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and on Friday July 12th from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the BELL-HENNESSY FUNERAL HOME, 420 South Main St., Williamstown.  Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment All Saints Cemetery, Franklinville.

In lieu of flowers the family asks you to consider making a donation to help towards funeral cost to Ray's wife Theresa Resino, c/o Bell-Hennessy Funeral Home, 420 South Main St., Williamstown, NJ 08094.
