Betty Jean McPherson Obituary

Betty Jean Wood McPherson, 90, of Graham went home to be with her heavenly Father on Thursday, July 28, 2022 while at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Lewis Edward McPherson and the daughter of Desmond Hal Wood and Margaret Minnie Cooper Wood, both deceased.
She was formerly employed with Brown Wooten. Betty was a member for over 88 years at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Senior Circle.

Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” McPherson of Graham and brother-in-law, Layton Curl of Snow Camp. She was preceded in death by her sister, Peggy Curl.

The funeral service will be conducted at Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church on Monday, August 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. by Rev. Jimmy Wooten. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A time of fellowship will be at the church fellowship hall following the committal service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Home Sweet Home, 1622 Flora Ave. Burlington, NC 27217.
