Audary Thomas Reynolds Obituary


Pastor Tommy Reynolds, 87, of Ashland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, July 29, 2022.
He was born July 27, 1935 in Appalachia, Virginia the youngest of twelve children born to the late Richard Franklin and Loutisha Ellen O’Quinn Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he was reunited in Heaven with his loving wife of 63 years, Barbara June Reynolds and eleven siblings
Tommy was saved in 1950 and began pastoring in the First Church of God at the age of sixteen in Emmons, WV. He went on to pastor in New Haven, WV and pastored twenty-nine years at Paintsville First Church of God, then went to pastor at Midland Church of God in Bath County, before spending three years pastoring at the Buffalo Church of God in Buffalo, WV. He served as interim pastor at South Point First Church of God in South Point, Ohio for six months, Polksville Church of God in Polksville, Kentucky for three years and filled in at Meade Station Church of God for three months. He was currently a member of Meade Station Church of God.
Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Debbie (Don) Gleim and Teresa (John) Songer; a granddaughter, Andrea Zornes; three step-grandchildren, Danny (Kelly) Gleim, Adam (Heather) Gleim and Ethan Gleim; four great-grandchildren, Pierce Carter Wamsley, Drake Thomas Zornes, Cohen John Maverick Zornes, and Alora June Zornes; five step great grandchildren, special first cousin, Bobby (Janie) Reynolds; and a special grandgodson, Tyler Isaac (Amber) Brown.
Funeral services to honor the life and ministry of Pastor Tommy Reynolds will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL with words of comfort provided by Pastor Rob Jordan, Pastor Chris Murphy, and Pastor David Dooley. Burial will follow in Ashland Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Linda Thomas Memorial Scholarship c/o Meade Station Church of God.
