Steven Ray Gantt, 69, of Baytown, passed away Friday, July 29, 2022, at his residence.

Steven was born August 22, 1952 in Pasadena, Texas, to parents; Donald G. and Eilene “Jackie” Moore Gantt, a former resident of Highlands, and has resided in Baytown for the past 38 years.  He was a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School, retired as a process technician for Exxon Mobil Mont Belvieu Plastics Plant after 23 years of service, member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church, and a veteran of the US Army.  Steven’s favorite hobbies included golfing, fishing, hunting, and designing and building small projects.

Mr. Gantt was preceded in death by his parents, sister:  Donna Thorne, and brother:  Allen Gantt.  He is survived by his wife of 39 years:  Stefani Davis Gantt, children:  Stephanie Shuttlesworth, stepson:  Stephen Braden, Jr., granddaughters:  Lauren Schonherz and Elise Shuttlesworth, grandsons:  Matthew Schonherz and Harrison Shuttlesworth, brother:  Robert Gantt, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with funeral service at 12:00 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022, at the Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home Chapel with interment following at Grandview Memorial Park in Pasadena.
