Jo Emiline Santiago Obituary

Jo Emiline Santiago

Born February 9, 1929       Died July 2, 2022

Jo, loving mother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her three children, Marna (Rod), Wendy (Ed) and Paul (Jennifer) and her loving grandchildren, Jamie, Nicholas, Christopher and great grandchild Mason. A small farewell ceremony among family and friends was held Friday, July 22nd at Oakmont Cemetery.

Jo was born in Evansville, Indiana to Iva and Morris Collins, and she had one older sister Patsy Angel. She is preceded in death by her loving husband Thomas Santiago (2008).

Jo was a long time member of Contra Costa Country Club becoming an accomplished golfer and social member in her later years. She traveled around the country to play golf and tour the country with her husband and many friends. She also had a love of collecting antiques and owned a small cooperative antique store in Pacheco.

She was a loving and generous mother, very proud grandmother and friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed being with her family and friends and frequently attended events at Contra Costa Country Club, going to Reno, and meeting weekly with her friends to socialize. Her great sense of humor, generosity and love for family and friends will be forever missed. May you rest in peace.
