Gloria Jean Smith (nee Horn) Obituary

Gloria was born into Eternal Life and passed away quietly at her apartment in Heritage Elm Grove at the age of 96. She is survived by her loving children: Robert (Julienne) of Sarasota, Florida, Richard (Linda) of Waupun, and Karen (Steve) of Brookfield. She was the proud grandma of Richard Jr. (Brenda), Tracy (Matt), Amanda (Daniel). She was thrilled to be a great grandmother to Isaiah, Blake, Ellie, and Ashlyn. Gloria also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends at the Post, Heritage Elm Grove, and St. Luke Catholic Church.

Gloria was born in Milwaukee in 1925. She was married to Richard J. Smith who predeceased her. They lived with their 3 children in Elm Grove and Brookfield. She loved her family remembering all birthdays until her passing. She also was a great collector of artwork, Hummel figurines, and collectible plates. She was a great viewer of Turner Classic Movies and CNBC. Both she and Richard were founding members of American Legion Post #449 Elm Grove and both served as President.

Visitation at St. Luke Catholic Church, 18000 W. Greenfield Ave., Brookfield, WI 53045 on Saturday, August 13, 2022 10AM-1045AM. Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM. Burial at St. Mary’s Visitation Cemetery.
