Carson Gullett Obituary


Rev. Carson “Bill” Gullett, 87, of Rush, Kentucky, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, August 13, 2022, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility.

He was born May 8, 1935, in Coalton, Kentucky, to the late Dallas and Hazel Kiger Gullett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 58 years, Amanda Lee McKinney Gullett; three brothers, Freeman Gullett, Dallas Gullett, Jr. and August “Cap” Gullett; and three sisters, Jewell Elliott, Sena Hutchinson and Myrtle Moore.

Rev. Gullett retired following a long and devoted ministry from Coalton First Baptist Church. He with the faithful support of his wife taught Sunday school for 50 years, volunteered and preached at the Tuberculosis Hospital and was a biblical scholar.

Those left to cherish his memory include a daughter, Deborah Sue (William) George of Burlington, Ky.; a grandson, William Carson Gullett of Burlington, Ky.; great granddaughter, Lilly Hinton of Logan, Ut.;and a host of extended family members.

Visitation will begin at Noon Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME 13TH STREET CHAPEL followed by a service of remembrance at 1:00 p.m. with words of comfort provided by Jimmy Harris. A private interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park.
