James Paul Diehl, Sr. Obituary

James Diehl Sr. age 81, of Niceville, Florida, passed away on August 18th, 2022.  He was born to Isabel and Roy Diehl Sr. on May 21, 1941, in Danville, Pennsylvania.  

He will be remembered as a humorous, caring, family-loving man. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking, and a cold beer.

James retired from the USAF in 1988 as a Master Sergeant after 26 years of service to his country.  

He is predeceased in death by his parents, and his sister Betty. 

He is survived by his Uncle Phillip, Brother Roy, Wife Betty, and three children; James Diehl Jr., Kim Avett, and Robert Diehl. Two grandchildren, Michael Avett and Callista Diehl, and great-grandson Everett Sheeler. 

MSgt James P. Diehl's funeral service will be held at McLaughlin Twin Cities Funeral Home, on August 31st, at 1 pm. The family will receive visitors 2 hours before the service. The interment will take place at Live Oak Memorial Cemetery in Crestview.
