John "Johnny" Charles Brooks Obituary

John “Johnny” Charles Brooks, 75, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022. He was born November 20, 1946 in Edgecombe County to the late William Henry Brooks and Reverie Orma Williams Brooks. Johnny honorably served his country in the National Guard for six years. He was a long time truck driver and owner/operator of Brooks Transport. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 to 2:00 pm, Saturday, August 20, 2022 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Road, Knightdale. 

He is survived by his wife, Katherine Jackson Brooks; daughter, Robyn Brooks McLamb (Rusty);     son, John Brandon Brooks (Tracey); grandchildren: Carson Brooks, Turner McLamb, Ashleigh McLamb, Jack Brooks. 

In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his daughter, Leigh Anne Brooks and  brother, William Henry Brooks, Jr. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or SPCA of Wake County.
