Nancy Scroggs Obituary

Nancy Woody (Isaac) Scroggs, age 82, formerly of Griffin and previously McDonough, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022.

Nancy was born in Multnomah County, Oregon on July 30, 1940 to the late Dorothy Janes and Lawrence Woody. Her first husband, Walter M. Isaac, Jr., also precedes her in death. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Griffin and retired as a Human Resources consultant from Emory University, Division of Cardiology. She was a member of the Griffin Choral Arts and the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.).

She is survived by her husband, John Scroggs; daughters, Carol MacKusick and husband, David, Michelle Kelley, and her husband, Ron; step-grandchildren, Sarah Mills and husband, Daniel, Melissa Piotrowski and husband, Luke, Amber Hunt, Ronnie Kelley and wife, Megan, Scott Kelley and Hayden Evans; several step-great grandchildren; step-children, Ross Scroggs and his wife, Mary, Chip Scroggs and his wife, Rachel, and Dody Cochran; and several step-great grandchildren.

Visitation for Mrs. Scroggs will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am in the Welcome Center of First United Methodist Church, Griffin, followed by a Celebration of Life in the Sanctuary. Pastor John Mattox will officiate. The family will also receive guests after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
