Mabel Don Castle, 85, of Ashland, went to be with her Savior on Sunday, August 21, 2022.

She was born October 27, 1936, in Paintsville, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Elihue and Sara Goodman Trusty. In addition to her parents, she was reunited in Heaven with her husband, Charles Castle; a great grandson, Harper Thomas Harte; two brothers, Benjamin Trusty and Ray Trusty; and five sisters, Gladys Crammer, Magdiline Castle, Katherine Butcher, Anna Belle Orme and Loralee Castle

Mabel was a member of Family Life Worship Center in Ironton, Ohio. She was a devout Christian, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She retired following a long working career from King's Daughters and Sons as Head Cook.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Harvey (Kathy) Sarven of Mountain Home, ID, Sherry (Tony) Coleman of Ashland, KY, Lamoin (Wilson) Cortes of Lorain, OH; and Easter (Tom) Noble of South Shore, KY; a sister, Alice Kiser of Calihan, FL; 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 25, 2022, at STEEN FUNERAL HOME CENTRAL AVENUE CHAPEL with words of comfort provided by Pastor Todd E. Munson. Burial will follow in Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
